Sometimes, lugging a big camera while on this journey just didn't pan out. It wasn't often, mind you, that my camera wasn't firmly gripped in my right hand, ever at the ready, but when I did set it down or (gasp!) leave it behind, I had a super-secret backup: My iPhone 4s, loaded with photography apps.
