I haven't been so enamored with puppets since I was in the "Romper Room" set. Maybe not even then. But the marionettes in Myanmar are magical. Magical Mynamar Marionettes. Not only are they supremely crafted - the high-end models intricately carved, exquisitely painted and dressed - but the puppeteers who bring them to life are artists with a deft touch whose stringed choreography is just as compelling to watch as the actions of their wooden charges. It's no wonder that I came home with a suitcase full of them.

Below: Three different short videos of puppet shows. Worth it - watch them all!
