Commerce is a strange thing. It happens the world over, but is unique - and yet common - wherever you may go. In Myanmar, as with most of the world, buying and selling largely happens on the street. From simple carts, to jam-packed stalls, to trays of goods expertly perched atop heads, "shops" come in as many forms as the goods that are sold within. It's as far from a Western mall that you'll ever get. No name brands (economic sanctions); no credit cards (lack of banking infrastructure), no set prices (haggling is the norm). But one thing is for sure: if you need something, look hard enough and you will find it.
